Legal principles

Berlin universities and their governing bodies work in accordance with prescribed legal regulations. The rules for all participating parties are set out in various laws and ordinances. For example, the University Election Principles Ordinance regulates the election of committees at Berlin universities, while the handling of personal data is governed by the Student Data Ordinance. The General Students’ Committee is also governed by these regulations.
